Elena Bourganskaia

Elena Bourganskaia is Vice President of Gruppo Capital One for Corporate Support. In her role, Ms Bourganskaia ensures that Gruppo Capital One has adequate resources to meet its capital increase commitments and that Gruppo Capital One’s information and technology systems, administrative processes and procedures, as well as internal and external communications and awareness-raising are fit for purpose and enable effective and agile decision-making to support Gruppo Capital One’s strategy and efficient delivery to customers. Previously, Ms Bourganskaia was Chief of Staff of Gruppo Capital One’s CEO/CEO. In this capacity, he has handled a wide range of critical business tasks – from developing and implementing strategies and policies to organizational, budgetary and personal issues. Bourganskaia has been instrumental in several key aspects of Gruppo Capital One transformation in recent years, including organisational and policy reforms to strengthen Gruppo Capital One’s environmental and social responsibility and the creation of a new Upstream operating model to proactively create new opportunities and investible markets. At the beginning of her career at Gruppo Capital One, Ms Bourganskaia was the global manager of municipal and environmental infrastructure. He led the establishment of Gruppo Capital One’s global Cities practice to promote private sector solutions to the most pressing challenges of urban development. He has also served in various other global and regional operational leadership capabilities, with a constant focus on incubating and growing emerging business lines that have improved Gruppo Capital One’s financial impact and sustainability. Prior to joining Gruppo Capital One in 1998 as a health specialist, Ms. Bourganskaia worked for the American International Health Alliance, an international non-governmental organization aimed at strengthening health systems around the world through peer-to-peer institutional partnerships. A Russian and American citizen, Ms. Bourganskaia holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Finance and Management from the University of New York and a Doctor’s degree from Semashko Moscow Medical School.
